Aryasamaj
Gandhidham is a part of the worldwide organization having more than 8000 branches all over the world and is relentlessly active in social, educational, cultural and spiritual, fields. We are working as NGO in India for
Child Charity. Post the devastating Earthquake of 26th January 2001 we have started
a child charity project namely Jeevan Prabhat which is a home for the
earthquake orphans and other underprivileged children.
In Jeevan Prabhat we treat the children just like our own children at home and we are rearing them totally free of cost without any distinction of Caste, Creed or Religion.
We do not accept anything old or even
leftovers for the children.

Jeevan Prabhat -
Aryasamaj Gandhidham
26th January 2001, India's 52nd Republic day dawned bright & clear, but precisely at 8.46 am it turned into the blackest day of the history as a devastating earthquake shook the very foundation of the whole Gujarat state and in the process rendered thousands homeless and thousands dead, many of them widows and orphans.
Relief aid came from all over the world, but was mainly concentrated to temporary shelters and food. We also worked to provide all possible help and also thought of providing long term assistance to the society. We felt that widows and orphans were the most affected but least attended section. We immediately planned a project at a cost of Rs.
4.5 Crores to provide them a permanent shelter with all possible help to boost their morale, rehabilitate
them and shape their future to make them self sufficient, and thus we started an orphanage and aptly named it "Jeevan Prabhat" for as the name signifies it is really a new dawn in the lives of these earthquake orphans and widows. At present we have 162 children and 8 widows under our care.
Jeevan Prabhat -
Pondicherry
Just like in Gujarat South India was hit by a
Tsunami on 26 December 2004 and to redeem the
National debt on us we have started Jeevan Prabhat
in Pondicherry with financial support of Arya
Pratinidhi Sabha America. At present we have 13
children but now with the completion of the Jeevan
Prabhat complex we will be able to increase the
number of children. These children are also being
reared and treated like the children of Jeevan
Prabhat in Gandhidham.
Jeevan Prabhat run by Aryasamaj
is a permanent shelter for those who became orphans
and widows during the devastating earthquake of
26-1-2001 in Gujarat and Tsunami in South India.
We humbly request you to give your valuable support so that together we can bring back the smile on the faces of these
unfortunate children and return them their childhood. We are just their managers where else you the society members are their true parents.
